Parker Variant Adjustable Safety Razor - Satin Chrome

I only have one shave with this new razor but I can tell you it is an amazing value. I own probably 12-15 razors of all shapes and sizes and this has worked into my top 5. The weight feels right, the adjustments work well with my face and I used the Shark blade that came with the razor which happens to be one of my favorites. I would highly recommend this if you are interested in an adjustable razor, at this price point and quality, it makes a great first step.

I started wet shaving about two months ago and have acquired a couple different razors from Gillette slim,Gillette new, merkur 34c and this one is my favorite. I can't seem to use any of my other razors any more. I have been using this razor paired with perma sharp super blades on setting 31/2 wtg pass then 3 xtg and 2 Wtg, smooth smooth no irritation and with the weight of the this razor no pressure is needed. This is a must buy and I might have to get me a backup in the black handle.

I have a lot of DE and SE razors including a Mergress. Like mantic59 (aka sharpologist) I agree that this is the best of the best when it comes to razors. I shaved this morning with a Gillette 7 O'clock Blade (also made in India coincidentally) and Soap Commander Influence shave soap and what a fantastic shave!! I used setting 3 1/2 and I couldn't be smoother if I tried. It does not feel aggressive yet shaves like a Shavecraft Tech or Muhle R41 without all the blade feel and irritation. Kudos to Parker on this one!!!

I have be waiting for this razor to come out for a while. I was lucky enough to get one before they sold out. Razor details. Fit and finish are excellent. Plating is even with no visible defects. It appears some kind of coating is used because water beads right off razor. Razer opens very smooth and blade line up is perfect every time. Knurling on handle is crisp and even. This razor won't slip in the shower etc. Shave details. I shave my face, head using three passes, WTG, XTG, ATG. I prefer an aggressive razor. My first shave was with a Shark blade, Professor green soap set at 4.0. The shave was perfect. Could hardly tell the razor had a blade in it. Very smooth, no irritation or weepers. The second shave was the same setup using a new blade set at 5.0. The shave was very close, still smooth but much more aggressive. It performed like a R41 or maybe a Shavecraft Tech but smoother. Third shave I got daring. Same setup, new blade set at 6.0 (5+1). Wow! The razors teeth really came out in a good way. It performed like a Merkur Vision dialed up. Close as a straight razor shave. Parker hit the ball out of the park with this razor. It is a Merkur killer! I highly recommend this razor and the price is a bargain.

Very well built and documented razor that provides a comfortable and controllable shave. Good wight and excellent grip, with very good audio feedback. Very similar to the progress. This razor will quickly become your go to favorite.

I ordered the razor on Friday, and had it on Saturday - that is what I call great service! The only thing better than the service is the razor. Right away, I could tell this was a high quality instrument. More importantly, it delivers a flawless smooth shave. Now that I have 5 shaves under my belt, I can say this is absolutely the best razor I have ever used. I shaved the first couple of days with a setting of 1 and received a BBS shave. (I set it low since I was in a rush to get to work). The past couple of days, I've increased the setting to 3 and 4 respectively and shaved with multiple passes.. The razor went from Mild to Aggressive with perfect blade alignment and accuracy. The razor is so smooth that at times it does not feel like it is working. I am getting ready to test it with a Feather next (so far, I have been using Shark blades). Excellent grip, blade alignment, and balance. Parker and Super Safety Razors, please take a big bow. Take a second bow too. You have brought what could be the finest razor ever made to market at a very fair price.
