Replacement
I find this razor to be sleek/ classy. I had an issue with the handle and rivet coming off when I received it, but I emailed and talked to Nancy about a replacement. Hope that ships soon!

Parker SR1 Straight Razor
Nice razor, first time with a straight razor, unique learning curve. Blade itself is a little small, but then I guess that minimizes the cuts. A little tricky changing the blades until you get the hang of it. Great deal for the money and to at least try it to see if you like it.

Finally Back to a Great Razor
Wife got me this for Father's Day after hearing me complain about poor quality of standard razors available. I used to use a straight razor and quit for over 35 years. She got tired of hearing it and got me one. First shave, it all came back, one little nick. Period. A month later and many shaves since, no nicks and shaves a smooth as a baby's bottom. What a great razor! Threw all my old ones away. This or nothing from now on! Want a great shave, get one and learn how to use it, you will love it and so will your wife or significant other!

Amazing value, I've had it for over a year; I know I should be graduating towards something better but this durable beast has been so good to me, I can not turn my back on it until it completely breaks. Word of advice (dont do what I did) and clean it off with a towel, if you leave it wet it can/will rust

Blades it came with might not be the best, but only used it once so far
I've used all types of razors and have a small collection of straights. I bought this so I wouldn't have to deal with honing and stropping. tried a full wet shave and cut my face up. I'm gonna mark that up to not having used a straight in a while though. I find it easier to shave with my double-edged gillette and then clean up my sidburns and mustache if I am growing one. that being said, it is November and I shaped with mustache with relative ease using the parker. blades it comes with might not be the best for me but I've only used one so far.

Bang for your buck!
Ive been searching for a Straight Razor for quite some time. Was considering going the traditional route but quickly realized I would have to learn how to Hone and buy a bunch of equipment. I decided to go the easier route and bought the SR1. I have had a shavette Straight Razor since High School but ended up cutting my face pretty bad and had never picked it up until a few weeks prior to purchasing the SR1. I watched a bunch of tutorials on YouTube and finally felt comfortable trying to shave again. The first shave went well only had a few cuts the second shave was perfect no cuts and perfect edges. Long story short I finally received the SR1 in this week and put it to use last night. Its much heavier then the cheap shavettes they sell with plastic so you do not have to apply much pressure. I ended up cutting myself a few times until I had gotten use to the weight. All in all wonderful shave supreme edges I couldnt be happier and hopefully next shave I will not cut myself.
