This is a great shaving brush! It’s soft, it does a fantastic job lathering up the soap and also applying it. It’s also just appealing to the eyes. The white & black marble handle with the tuxedo knot….it will just be a nice brush to add to your collection.

    High Lathering Performance! However….

Posted by Barrett Benton on Aug 2nd 2024

Saw the e-mail announcement for this brush, and I was a bit more intrigued than usual: loved the finish of the handle, and liked the good-sized knot of the brush. And, I've been big on synthetic brushes since taking a chance on my first-and-so-far-only synthetic brush, a Yaqi Heavy Metal. Put this new Parker straight to work the day it arrived. The Good (actually, Great) News: this thing lathers up like crazy – the brush is a tad stiffer than the Yaqi, but incredibly plush, and this combination of attributes allows for a thicker, more-luxurious lathering with scarcely more effort…always a welcome thing. The Less-Good News is a tad subjective, and involves the size/shape of the handle: for me, it's too thick, and the center ridge is in just the wrong place for my fingers. Not an absolute dealbreaker, but something to consider, depending on your preferences. But, again, in terms of lathering performance, it knocks it out of the park.
