The Parker 90R was introduced in the USA. in 2002. Since then, it has undergone several upgrades, including a redesigned head, added weight and new plating technology. Quite happy
I've been using my new safety razor for a couple of weeks now and I really like it! It's taken me a while to figure out how to shave my legs with it, but I'm getting there. It does take some practice, but it's not nearly as scary as I originally thought. I found that taking a bath to shave the legs for the first few times was really helpful. Today I shaved in the shower and all went very well...unlike the first time when I ended up with a gazillion nicks. It's a little intimidating, but practice makes near perfect!

Parker 90R Butterfly Open Long Handle Safety Razor
Great product! Tried it for the 1st time today which is a Wednesday. It arrived early on Friday but wasnt scheduled to be here until Monday; kudos on the prompt delivery. I admit to being a bit apprehensive about using a double-edge safety razor for the 1st time so thats why I was hesitant to try it as soon as it arrived. Plus, I shaved on Friday before it got here as I was unaware it would arrive early. But wow! What an exhilarating shaving experience! I had grown used to using (and re-using) cartridge razors w/a handle from a well known name in shaving given to me in college in a promo/graduation gift pack from the maker. (To create a lifelong user no doubt.) There is just no comparison. After a couple of short strokes I was at ease using this razor because it is so smooth. As I said, it was my 1st experience w/a DE safety razor so Im sure I will get better w/it over time and experience. I cant wait to use it again. The apprehension is gone and I know I will come away w/a smooth shave and the exhilaration of shaving is back and better than ever. I did experience a couple of nicks. One small and the other bled a bit but both were painless and probably due to the presence of bumps from ingrown hairs. I am an old school shaver from here on out. Only butterfly safety razors and eventually straight razors for me; no more disposable cartridges. The only thing is, I wish I had made the switch a long time ago.

Amazing
This is truly a great razor. The heft, feel, and weight is just right. The blade fits evenly in the razor. Quality is superior, this razor is as good if not better than the overpriced stuff on the market. Overall this is a great razor.

This is a fantastic razor. The quality is a ten, The butterfly opens smoothly, the nickel plating is beautiful. I had no trouble with the butterfly opening. This works super with Astra blades in all my 3 razors!!!
