Learning curve but good
I love this. I recommend using Cremo shave cream with it. It’s the only way I’ve not cut myself. I’ve also gotten used to it though so it’s possible I’m just better at it now.

Nothing to Fear
First off, the color isn't lavender, it's dark pink/mauve. I used this everywhere you can think of to test out this razor. My results are that it's just as good as an expensive cartridge razor, and you will nick yourself no more or no less. I also can't imagine having a bad nick because the blade is actually protected. I used this on the bikini area, NOT just the sides, the whole enchilada, and it worked well. I also found that I did not have to use some exact 30 or 45 degree angle, I just used it simply like I would a regular razor. I used it with my all natural bar soap. I found that wherever I shaved that it seems smoother and like I have more moisture left naturally on my skin, than using a cartridge razor with a regular moisturizing strip. I'm actually thinking about buying another one to travel with, or even one for my boyfriend (men's version obviously) for Christmas. To sum things up, even though this has a large head, it will work everywhere you want it to, and I'm seeing less irritation (I get horrible razor bumps with everything else). I love this because I will be saving money, and I don't have to worry about blades being discontinued, like I did with top of the line drugstore razors that I liked. (That's the reason I bought this in the first place, my favorites got discontinued.) Plus, these are better for the environment. Very happy with my purchase, hope this helps some of you.

Don't be afraid to try a safety razor
I decided to try a safety razor because of the expense of disposable razors/blades. I would find myself going to far too long without replacing my razor just because I didn't want to spend the money. I somehow came across the idea of a safety razor and decided to give it a try. It seems like everything I read made it sound like you would injure yourself if you weren't really careful, so I was a little nervous. I don't know what all the hype is about- I just shaved like I would with any other razor (in the shower) and didn't cut myself at all. The razor is very sturdy and changing blades is super easy. I ordered a sample pack of some blades that are supposed to be really sharp so I can determine which brand of blades I like best. With the large packs of blades only costing 10 to 15 cents/blade, I will be able to change blades frequently.
